My RX 5700 XT graphics card supports only HDMI 2.0, which means I can't get 4k120fps, I know that. Also, the cable I'm using is only 2.0. After many tries I finally got 2560 x 1080p @120 Hz, or 1920 x 1080p @ 120 Hz, to show up in modes list under Windows 11's display adaptor properties.

Now the problem is that the Windows' HDR switches back to off right after I turn it on. I've tried it with Doom Eternal. All of my stuff is up to date.

My display and graphics settings are here:

Please help. Thanks in advance.

I was able to use 1440p @ 120hz w/HDR on my 2080ti along with VRR of the LG C1. Worked perfectly.

Recently "upgraded" to Windows 11 and the HDR experience has been a nightmare. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it's enabled for the desktop, others it's not. Sometimes it shows as enabled in control panel and in game setting, yet its definitely not using HDR.

You probably need to set the pixel format to YCbCr 4:4:4 instead of RGB
