hi all,
had this new monitor for a week or two now but seems too be a few things that i cant figure out.

in the menu on the picture setting it has a black level but it is alway grayed out and the same goes with the display settings in the menu, both are unuseable.

Just though someone might be able to shed some light on this or have this monitor and knows how to access this features.

Thanks

Are you running the monitor at native resolution over DVI? Some monitors (like my Gateway XHD3000) expect the video card to handle most of the settings in that case, and only enable them in the menu for other connection types and/or non-native resolutions.

yes it is running 1920x1080 native, even at lower res the setting are still grayed out.

It is the same on vga too so i am picking up a hdmi-mini hdmi cable later to test to see if this changes anything, dont think it will but worth a try.

I will update later

hi, no looked for a locked option to remove it but could not seem to find one.

With using the hdmi cable i can use the black level but still not the display settings

yes that is the way i have been doing the adjustments for the display, just wanted to find out how to use the menu on the monitor itself.

Still not been able to sort it but monitor is looking great now thanks for all your help

Black level is commonly associated with an analog signal, and so this may only apply to the VGA input for your monitor. Does it "un-gray" when the VGA connector is used?
