Hi,I have laptop LG e500 with:
Motherboard: MS-16361 chipset PM965
CPU Intel mobile core 2 duo T7100
GPU nvidia 8400M G
the problem is i can,t overclock my cpu, i have no option in BIOS and all apps like setfsb(was not able to find PLL )
And i would like to know if it,s possible to overlock this cpu on this Motherboard at all.

Solution
That pertains to gpu overclocking which is why he mentions 169 drivers and vga bios. But that is not relevant with today's gpu drivers where you can oc any gpu with software like msi afterburner. The cpu is another story and most laptop or prebuilt desktop have a locked bios. You could try a custom bios but you have to find one for your laptop or make it yourself. That link he gave is to the one that is on the lg site, so is still locked and he was asking how to edit it to allow ocing. I won't suggest modifying it on your own because if you mess up, you brick your laptop.

With core 2 cpus, some can oc with clockgen, setfsb, cpufsb or similar software. You tried setfsb so none will probably work. If those don't work you really can't do...
I found this tutorial for you:

Hello everybody :)

As everyone, i got the problem to "not" overclocing after 169 series drivers. But i need to install newer drivers for PhysX support and other in-game improvements. So the only way of doing this is to flash the overclocked BIOS.

I've dumped my original BIOS and i've also found the BIOS on LG site (They are the same version). The only problem is that, as you know, it's not only the VGA BIOS and it includes everything... It's an AMI ROM image. You can get the BIOS file at (my own upload): http://rapidshare.com/files/136844316/A163FIL1.rom

Flashing back is not a problem, AFUWIN works fine for dumping/flashing the BIOS. The only problem is editing :) So can anyone please tell me how to do it? I've done editing desktop BIOS'es (not motherboard ones) but i've never done it on mobile..

Thank you..

Wow flash bios it,s something new to me.what if that bios version is bad for me and i want get back mine old one?
