Does anyone know the average input lag on this model? Also what resolution would work best for games like halo 3 to have the least input lag.

1. Don't know input lag.

2. Native resolution is always best.

In the native resolution there are black bars at the top and bottom of the screen putting the games in wide screen it looks nice but I'm not a huge fan of the bars.

your monitor is 1920x1200 and xbox360 1920x1080 thats why your getting the black box. Does your monitor offer 1:1 scaling?

I may be wrong though but thats just my guess.

Black bars are there to maintain aspect ratio (16:9). Otherwise the image would be stretched.

If you do not want stretched images or black bars, then buy a 16:9 (1920 x 1080) monitor.
