If you're looking for an IPS panel for work, you should go for a Dell Ultrasharp display, as they have been generally quite good in my experience.

I bought the Acer for $100 (slickdeals.net posted about it 1-2 weeks ago) and the LG from costco for $120. Don't care much about the price difference between the two.
No gaming. Just multi-tasking watching a lot of youtube videos and browsing web (10-20 tabs open).
Use computer 8-10 hours a day so that is why i raised interest in "flicker safe" but not sure if it even produces a significant effect versus other modern monitors like the Acer?
