Recently bought a LG G4 and now I am reading about this bootloop problem that bricks the phone. Does anyone know how widespread this issue is? Curious if its just a few unlucky people or a lot, considering this phone sold millions of units.

yes when i had G4 I had this problem too but i managed to fix that by calling to LG costumer service and they said because its a interionational problem they will fix it for free and they really replaced my motherboard for free.
you should call them and talk with them and check what they will say to you.

It's a pretty widespread issue it seems due to poor QC on the phones.

You could send it in for a replacement as David said, but I would try to return it and get another phone. LG will replace it for free if it does but the new one might just do the same so it becomes an endless cycle.

Actually after i contaced LG they replaced my old MB with new one that have been recalled as some people may name it and its been almost 6 months and the device still work like new , so i would call LG costumer service in case that something happen.
Btw the next phone that im going to buy its definetly won't be an LG phone it will be Samsung or Apple, because i used to have only samsung phones so i wanted to try some other company phone and i can say that Samsung phone are cost more money but definetly worth any cent.

Ah okay. I'm just concerned with the G4 because I've read that even new MB have had issues.

I really like the V20 -- can't afford it -- but LG just isn't trustworthy. Plus I don't need a flagship phone. My ZTE Zmax 2 really serves me just fine and I cannot justify upwards of $7-800 for a new device.

I Cant be without flagship...
I dont know why but thats how i am there was a few months that i used alcatel one touch idol mini and i was like im going craczy lol

I experienced the bootloop and sent it back for repair. LG wants me to pay them $179 to repair the phone. My phone was working just fine but they claim it was physical damage. There was no physical damage; just surfing the Internet on my phone, and it suddenly goes to the LG logo and haven't gotten passed the logo since. I will never get another LG phone again.

believe me, i wonnt buy lg phone too.
