Hi, just built a new rig with Win7 64bit. I'm not sure what I should do about my BR/HDDVD optical drive. I like to back up my discs with ANYDVD HD. Anywho, do I just run the last version they have, which supports vista/xp?

There's no current development on this device (discontinued).

Thanks in advance!

Area51 is correct the LG Black 6X BD-ROM 16X DVD-ROM 40X CD-ROM SATA Internal Blu-ray/HD DVD-ROM & 16X DVD±R DVD Burner Model GGC-H20L... NOTE the word BD-ROM

Can use the windows Built in DVD software, although I prefer ImBurn

But you do need software to View blu-ray movies.
I use Cyberlink Bluray and ArcSoft's Total theatre.
I also have AnyDVD and only use to copy a dvd/bluray to my HDD.

Wow, a lil salty there, chief. :) When I said backup, I meant to an HDD (just need to rip & strip drm). I'm unfamiliar with Win7 or Vista (prev XP), so I wasn't sure if the latest vista driver would work. Thanks fantastik250. I'll give it a try. Just wanted to be cautious before I blew up something.

Either way, thanks guys for responding. Cheers.
