I would like to increase storage. Is latest SK Hynix Platinum P41 1TB PCIe NVMe Gen4 M.2 2280 Internal SSD compatible with LG Gram 17 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 and can it be fitted in addition to existing 500 mb SSD, HFS512GD9TNG-L2A0A ? Any advice welcome. Thanks,

What is in it now?
An SK Hynix 512GB NVMe drive?
If so, a 1TB replacement should be no problem.

Gen 4 vs the existing Gen 3....all you will likely see is Gen 3 performance.
But it will work.

Does this existing system have a pair of NVME M.2 PCI-e 4.0 slots, assuming your goal is to use both drives? (Assuming that is the case, since you said 'in addition to'....)

I can't find any data that says that laptop has a pair of M.2 NVME slots....

Thank you mdd1963.

All indicate 2 slots. I'm interested in your information re 4.0 instead of existing 3.0. In which case would it be wiser to buy the 3.0 SSD and spend the excess in changing 16GB ram for 32GB ram?

You might want to open the case and look.
LG makes different flavors of that laptop.
It may or may not have 2 m.2 slots.

If you are not using all the ram you have now then adding more is a waste.

Thank you for your advice, following I contacted LG and discovered my model only has only one ssd slot (M.2 280).
Thank you very much.
