LG L1752T and other 17" LCD's

So I've been looking around for a good 17" LCD monitor to replace my old and busted 17" non-flat CRT. At first I wanted to get a 19" but all the ones I've tried looked somewhat grainy at 1280x1024 even with the DVI cable plugged in, so I decided to go with a 17".

One particular model that has caught my attention is the LG L1752T (or L1752TX, same thing). Here are the specifications.

Those specs seem fairly good to me. I primarily use my PC for gaming and from what I've seen, there isn't any ghosting with an 8ms response time, even in FPS games. I've had bad experiences with LCD's in the past though (color/brightness related), and I don't want to make another mistake.

What do you think of this model and of LG monitors in general? Any other recommendations for 17" LCD's that would work well for gaming?

Thanks!

I cannot speak to this particular model, but we have been selling LG LCDs for the last few years and have found them to be very reliable with great picture quality and color rendering. I haven't seen any LCD with a picture I thought was better than a similar model LG, and most aren't as good. That's our take on LG, hope it helps.
