I love the look and feel of these 21:9 monitors. They are great for productivity (especially programming!) and have a very nice immersive feel in games that properly support the resolution.

These monitors are great for gaming, but the problem is that watching 16:9 videos feels like watching 4:3 videos on a 16:9 monitors with black borders on the sides which is quite annoying if you ask me.

16:9 is still the best aspect ratio and would (more like should) never be replaced anytime soon.

Seriously? People think that 2560 x 1080 looks good? Have you seen a screen this size at that crappy resolution? If it isn't 1440 then don't bother. These screens not only will look pixelated they will be seriously crappy for gaming due to a very high input lag. Thanks, but no thanks these screens are simply way short of what a gamer really needs - get an Overlord Tempest. A true 1440 120hz capable display best for large display gaming.

Yeah, if there were any 1440p 120Hz monitors on the market, and if there were realistic graphics setups that could hit that framerate at that resolution.

2560 x 1080 $599 vs (2) 1080 x 1920 monitors for $200-$300's gee I wonder which consumers will opt for?!?!? This shouldn't be priced above $200's even taking into account and considering the tv tuner.

I swear these display makers just aren't getting the picture at all. Sorry consumers aren't biting you corporate pricks we didn't forget the price fixing you were found guilty of a few years back we are in no hurry to over pay for your garbage bezels be damned.

Honestly a consumer could take (2) monitors and a mirror and create the illusion of 1 bigger seamless display like the x-men arcade machine from the early 1990's and it would still probably be cheaper and provide higher resolution as well their attempts to sway consumers is absolutely hilarious.

hmm the screen resolution is high good but are there any good graphic cards to handle such a resolution?well unless you have a Dual GPU card or 2 graphic cards together,no there is not.and even with those you can barely reach 60 FPS on games like Metro or Crysis 3.Full HD gaming is still much more consumer friendly.

There are the overlord tempest. It does 120hz at 1440.
