Hello folks,

Does anyone out there have an LG OLED C series TV and game at 1440p on it? If so, does it look relatively decent?

I'm torn between purchasing an OLED monitor and OLED TV. The TV would be handy as I also have a PS5.

Thanks,

Yeah LG C1 55", two of them actually for racing sim room. Mostly run 4k with 3060Ti's playing Project Cars 2 but that game is old and runs well so don't need to drop resolution. Assetto Corsa Competizione is more demanding and even though 4k is playable i have ran the game in 1440p and looks just as good. They are nice TVs and scale very well. Wouldn't expect any less with LG's newer C models.

Be sure to get a known quality Hdmi 2.1 cable, up to 3m. One of the TV's is using a 3m Cruxtec cable, the other 2m being that side of the room and video port closer to the PC box. 4k Hdr 120Hz no problem.

I appreciate the feedback, thanks!

I believe I am overall leaning towards the C series OLED TVs.

Running a C2 (after using a B6 for years) and 1440p looks fine. Usual OLED warning in regards to text clarify; ClearType generally addresses this but it is a minor issue worth noting; I personally don't have a problem.

Other then that: Make sure the PC input is correctly labeled as "PC" to disable the extra post-processing and ensure proper image handling, and do remember that while OLEDs are certainly much more resilient then they used to be, do keep in mind some care is required (EG: No static desktop backgrounds, and so on).

But yes: OLEDs, and the C2 in particular are amazing displays.

I might suggest a monitor if you do not need the tv functionality.
I use a LG oled C tv and the power on/off and sleep behavior is very different from a monitor.
When not in use, the tv turns itself off and usually requests to do a pixel refresh(5 minutes) when turned on.
In use, the picture is stunning at 4k and hdmi2.1 allows 120hz operation.
