I have these two parts - both are sealed, and the white one has some liquid on the inside of it. The blue one, I'm not sure. Could anyone tell me what these are?
Yes they are ice packs. Exactly like little_me said, they are in the freezer to help keep your stuff frozen in case you loose power. It also help keep the unit from running as much. Saving you on the electricity bill.
Do both of them go in the freezer, or one of them goes to the freezer and the other to the refrigerator?
Also, I'm having problems removing the door trays from the freezer. They're stuck in place, won't budge no matter how much I pull in any direction. Any tips to get them to loosen?
Those are similar to the two in the freezer door here:
They both go in the freezer. The small containers are meant to be frozen and put in a cooler to keep your stuff cold while going to the beach or where ever. Typically the trays lift and pull out in refrigerators. There are other designs but normally that is the way they are removed.
I know, but that's not working for these, they're too tight.
Unless there's ice buildup causing the issue, then something is probably bent or otherwise misaligned. It's kind of hard to comment without looking at it.
So, I got an update from the previous owner(yes, it's a second-hand refrigerator).
Those are indeed ice packs. The blue one is the one which goes in a tray on the top of the freezer, and it's there to keep the freezer compartment cool in case of a power outage. The smaller white one seems to be for personal use, or to keep a particular item cool(depending on how long it lasts, I think I'll use it for a swelling or something).
Also, the trays came off. They needed to be pressed inwards, like this:
