LG VX10 External Display missing bars

I've had my LG VX10 for 15months. Recently the External Display has
started to go south. The text is becoming difficult to read do to the
fact it appears Vertical lines are striping through the text. That is
the black text is disapearing in a verticle fasion. Is this a common
problem with VX10's? It's over a year old, so I know the warrenty has
run out. Any information/thoughts would be appreciated.

We have several heavily used ones in our group that are close to two years
old and are doing fine. Like you said, sounds like your screen has started
to go bad. Did it get dropped?
