I've just put together my first build and it all work great, except the optical drive won't play any of my blu-rays. I've got a LG WH14NS40 (OEM), and I've been told the fact that it's OEM may be the problem. I can't get it to play any Blu Ray disc with the windows programs or VLC. DVD's however, work just fine.

I've gone to the LG page to look for firmware and other up dates but those haven't helped either. I've read that I may need a codec, but I have no idea what that is or how to find the right one.

Any help with this would be well appreciated, I can't wait to start playing my movies.

If you're running on Windows 10 then that is the issue. The fact that the new platform was path for which Microsoft could drop support for Windows Media player and in doing so you'd either need to download it from filehippo or perhaps look at KM player to play your bluray content.
