How would you rate this monitor (in terms of price/performance)?
Is this good for gaming and watching movies?
If not,

could you suggest a monitor (full hd with max. 5ms response time and min. 60 hz ref rate) similar to this (in terms of price)?

Yes, that's a good monitor for gaming. But IPS panel (the LG model you said has TN panel) has wider viewing angles and visual quality. You can find full HD, 60 Hz, 5 ms response time IPS monitor too.
