Just wondering if anyone had any strong views on which of these two would be the best investment?
I'm running an R9-3950X, RTX 2080Ti, 32Gb of RAM.
The LG gets slightly better reviews (although the Alienware is very new and hasn't been widely reviewed yet), has a higher refresh rate, and offers Freesync so is more future proof if AMD pull something spectacular out of the bag with the next generation of Radeon GPUs.
Against that, the Dell would clearly have better warranty, it looks a bit better, and it's a bit cheaper in the UK (plus Dell dispatch immediately, whereas Overclockers, the only place which sells the LG, will take at least just to dispatch it). I've only ever used Dell monitors (currently have a 27" IPS panel which I've been really pleased with, but need a UW one for work and to get the most out of my new rig) and have never had any cause for complaint.
Thoughts welcome! Clearly it's a decent chunk of dosh to part with so I'm keen to make the right decision. Thanks.
