Question Lga 1155 socket strange pin orientation

So I recently got a lga 1155 motherboard for free. I removed my cpu and the pins in the socket are oriented strangely… the bottom pins face upwards and the top pins face downwards. I’ve looked up images to compare and looks just like the ones on the Wikipedia page. I’ve installed a i7 2600 and it is working completely fine 0 issues. Are the pins on the lga 1155 socket just supposed to be oriented like this.

Before anybody tells you they are bent I can assure you they are not. The pins on this socket are meant to sit at a angle
