lga 1156 supports the standard i7 i5 i3 processors and if i am right the lga 1356 only supports i7 extreme edition cpu`s

Dont forget the i7-965 970 975 990

To put it in simplest terms, get 1366 if you need a workstation or you've got lots of money to blow. Otherwise get 1155 (1156's successor)
