I recently bought two E7-2850s from someone on Reddit, but I don’t have a motherboard for them. I think I got a really good deal, $10 for both of them, so I was thinking of finding a cheapish board (below $150) for them, preferably something that doesn’t need a proprietary PSU. I don’t care about form factor and I’ll probably be running it outside a chassis, so no need to worry about that.
Anyways, I was wondering if you guys know of any decent boards I could find for cheap that I could plug these CPUs into. I want to use it to learn how to do virtualization in Linux, so I can easily set up my own mail/NAS/DNS server when I move out from my parents’ basement.
