Question lga 771 to 775 mod motherboad support

i have a xeon e5440 2.83ghz modded to the lga 775 socket i wanted to ask if this cpu will work instantly with the gigabyte GA EP43T UD3L

You're the only one who can test this. Be sure you update BIOS to the latest version first. I'd also run a couple of benchmarks before and after, and post results, for others to see whether this "upgrade" has any benefit.
