LGA 775 Pentium D 945 to a core 2 duo E6700

I currently own a dell optiplex 745 sff with a Pentium D dual core 945. I would like to upgrade to core 2 duo E6700 but I'm not sure if my bios supports it (2.6.6) would it plug strait in and boot up or would I have to update the bios

It seems that the motherboard supports that CPU.

Looks like you can get to the Q6700 Core 2 Quad, & they only needed BIOS version 2.6.4.
