Hello, my 3 year old Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H motherboard died yesterday. I was away from it when, and when I came back to it windows had crashed. I tried rebooting, but it wouldn't even POST. Now it's stuck in a loop, where the it wont even light the motherboards status lights. No video output from neither DisplayPort nor HDMI, GPU or onboard.

I have running a minimal configuration (PSU, CPU, MOBO)
I have tried swapping around and removing the ram.
I have also tried resetting the CMOS.
I have tried a different power outlet
I have disconnected all unnecessary cables from PSU.

My components:
GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H
i5-3570k (@4.2) with small cooler (not stock, hasn't had any problems so far)
RX 480 (replaced old 770 recently)
EVGA SuperNova 650 G2 80+ gold

The whole rig is properly cooled, temps never over 70°C

Any help is appreciated.

OP, those suggested by dark_loird69, now I'm not saying they won't work, but they are just a waste of money in my opinion.

have you tried buying a new cmos battery instead of just resetting the bios?
have you tried switching between bios with the bios switch? your mobo have dual bios function, that means if one bios failed, the other should be ok. look at mobo manual for switch position.
try disconnecting any and all storge devices (ssd, hdd, etc) and see if system boot into uefi/bios.

I have tried switching the bios, and now it gets a bit further. Sometimes, right before it shuts off, the LED code shows "db", which according to the manual means "flash update is failed". Could this have something to do with windows update? It was the only thing "updating" when I left the computer.

I managed to boot it by reflashing the BIOS. It seems that updating my graphics driver results in a hard crash each time, with me having to reflash. I guess I'll run 17.4.4 for now, but this seems not very optimal. Maybe it's just a fault with Windows update/AMD drivers

Thanks for the help :)
