LGA115X - The Puzzling Format?

The Intel LGA 115X socket number, usually said in the laundry list of CPU water cooling specs, it refers to the LGA 115X socket or mounting system. What is this one-of-a-kind madness? Can I use any number in the X? Does this use the same LGA 1151 Mounting hardware?

Whatever does this puzzling mounting format give us, I was considering of switching to a water cooler as running a K-series processor on air was a basic literal example of cooking egg on plasma.

The only point of creating this topic is to get people to get together, and help solve this mystery. Since the LGA 115X Mounting hardware or socket has little or no understandable documentation whatsoever, we hope the answer will come along soon.

Because 1156, 1155, 1150 and 1151 all use the same mounting hardware; therefore it's easier to refer to it as 115X.
