Motherboard says that it supports 8GB DDR3 but will not boot with a single stick of 8
The ram that is came with was Corsair XMS3 TW3X4G1333C9A (2X2GB)
Since it won't boot with a single stick off 8, would 2 sticks of 4gb work?
This is rather annoying since I need as much ram as possible for this pc!

Please help :)

tech-wreck is right, the maximum total memory for that motherboard is 8GB using two slots. So, 4GB each.

This memory should work fine and is only $40 at NewEgg right now:

All of the memory that should work in that system can be found at PC Part Picker:

http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/memory/#s=301600&xcx=0&V=1350,1500&L=30,90&sort=a10&page=1&Z=8192002&t=11

Although, I did specify DDR3-1600 and up to CAS 9 - so keep in mind that you can get cheaper memory that is a little slower (not noticeably slower).

Good luck!

So will any 2x4gb config work? And will 1600mhz work? Or does it need to be 1333mhz

Or will any cas9 ram work?

Yes, tech-wrech is right. The main reason that I selected DDR3 1600 is so that you will be able to use that memory in a different computer in the future. The CAS difference is pretty minor, I selected CAS 9 based on the memory that you were already using.
