Hi @ll,
Its been a few years since I played around with computers, so my knowledge is not up-to-date. My last build was in 2008 when I decided to move from Germany to beautiful British Columbia in Canada.
Still running the same system but wondering how to determine the best Graphics Card I can add to my system without bottlenecking the CPU.

My System
CPU:
Intel Q9450 (overclocked to 3400mhz)
CPU Fan: Noctua NH-D14 6 Dual Heatpipe
Mobo: Gigabyte X48T-DQ6 (F6 Bios)
DDR3: Corsair 2x2GB (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9)
GPU: Zotac Geforce 560
PSU: OCZ (OCZ720EVOSLI) 720Watt
HDD: Samsung SSD 850 EVO

Would a Zotac 1060 Amp! 6GB be a good replacement for my old GPU???
Or should I better look into 9xx and 7xx series Geforce GPU's???

Regards
Heiko

Hi and thanks for your recommendation on the 1050. I am planning on building another Gaming computer next year.

Right now i started playing The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and Dragon Age - Inquisition. Both Games are running good.
Also just ordered another 2x2GB of RAM to max out and thought why not get the BEST used GPU my System can handle and overclock the heck out of my old beast.

Adding 2 more sticks of ram is going to do more harm than good. If you want 8GBs of ram, get a 2x4 kit and replace the ones already installed.
Filling all 4 slots will make your system unstable. It's even stated in the downloadable pdf file on the manufacturer's website.

Shoot.
I didn't know that!!
Thanks. Will see if I can still cancel the order.

Hi,
So i got a really good deal on a Zotac Geforce 1050 TI and also had the chance to try it in my system first to find out if it's compatible.

It's compatible and runs great.

Tried playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition (my favourite game) on ultra graphic settings. Runs flawless.

I'll be starting another post for chosing some DDR3 1600mhz for my old rig.
Manufacturer website states 8GB max memory but I've seen post's where people claim they where able to bump it up to 32GB and get it stable with a few Bios adjustment's.

Thanks for everybody's help.
