the logitech gaming software is not detecting my Extreme 3D pro joystick when plugged in. I am using version 8.83.85 and it detects my mouse (G700s) just fine. is the software just not compatable with this joystick?

Solution
there was a post about this on logitech forums, seems the web site is lying and you need an older version of lgs to use that joysticks profiles

it wont mate u need a different profile \ software to use the flight sticks for gamees

Software Version: 5.10.127
Post Date: 08/30/2010
OS: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP (or older)
File Size: Approximately 13 Mb

I will try to link it but their forums are odd, you may need to be logged in to go here: https://community.logitech.com/s/question/0D531000050zZSTCA2

yes, I just updated LGS after I read your post, I updated all software related to LGS and now the version number reads 8.84.15. The Controller still does not respond.

as for the USB and motherboard drivers, I have no problems recognizing the controller, windows can even read out the buttons and joystick feedback using the control panel tool, so I assume that that isn't the problem, but I guess I'm not certain.

Solution
all-right, the software works, and although it looks dated, it does the job, and even runs alongside the new software no problem. I wish there was modern support for it, but this is the next best thing. thanks.
EDIT: there is on more thing, if there's no answer, oh well, is there a way to insert time waits into the macros?

I have the same problem. I installed the older lgs and it recognizes the stick but none of my games do. I'm running Win 10. I've had this stick for a very long time but used it little. It worked fine in Win 7.
Any other suggestions?
