I just bought a 20" LG computer monitor and I can't get it hooked up. There is no place on my old computer to plug in the wire with the white end. What is it for? I can plug it into the monitor but no place on my computer for it. please help me. Should I return the monitor to Future Shop?

The white connector is called DVI. Your computer should be still using the much older blue connector VGA.

VGA has been discontinued and phased out for quite a few years now, so not many monitors support that connection anymore.

You can still get an adapter though.
