Lian Li case for 240 radiator?

I like the look of the Lian Li cases and I just bought the ECO 240c cooler that uses a 240mm radiator. I wasn't sure which cases
from Lian Li support a 240mm rad? I did find the following case that might work:

Lian Li A77F:

and using the following part to replace the top should allow the 240 rad to fit:

I know the Corsair 800D works w/ the 240 rad's but can someone let me know if this Lian Li case would work w a 240 rad? Thanks.

So the case alone won't work with the 240mm Radiator unless I buy that extra top cover, is that correct?

Do you think this makes sense to get with my i7 and eco 240c or do you think this case would be overkill? I like Lian Li brand.

Well if you want my honest opinion, then send back the Eco 240c and get a Corsair H70. It is cheaper and performs about the same. You can put it in the rear fan emplacement regardless of top.

As for the case, its a great case. You are paying a heavy premium, but that is the name of the game for the enthusiast. Its the same reason that cases like the HAF 932 and Antec 900 are dubbed gamer cases, because gamers are a different market than enthusiast even if both game. Many people will tell you that it is a waste of money, but I offer my way of thinking: The computer case is the most aesthetically pleasing component of a computer and it is what sits in your computer/living room, or where ever you have it, so why not get the one you want? Also, if you change parts a lot then you will love the tool-less features and quality of Lian Li.

If you want to save money and not break the bank with a stylish case with great cooling and quality that comes close to Lian Li, look at the Silverstone FT02. It will fit the Corsair with slight modification:

Thanks for the advice. What are your feelings between the following cases:

Lian Li A77f - $325

Silverstone t10 - $300
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163091

Corsair 800D - $269
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139001&Tpk=800d

CM HAF X = $300
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119225&cm_re=haf_x-_-11-119-225-_-Product

I like the Corsair 800D in terms of looks but I'm worried about cooling (although I don't do a ton of gaming). The HAF X looks nice too. What would be your vote of the mentioned cases? Would you be worried about the 800D getting too hot? Thanks.

I own the Silverstone TJ09, doorless TJ10 basically. I can't recommend it, cable management is impossible, and cooling is only average.

The Corsair is a watercooling only case in my mind, meaning custom loop. If you fit it with all available fans it will cool alright, but not great by any means. I would put it at the bottom for air cooling potential.

The HAF X has good cooling, but its ugly as hell and can't match the quality of the others listed.

With that list I would easily go for the PC-A77F.

Also take a look at the FT02:

Its a great case. If it isn't to your liking then stick with the Lian Li.

Also look at the silver versions:

Thanks a lot for all the help. I found a couple Lian Li cases that are a little cheaper than the 77F but I don't know if any of these will support that 240mm radiator. These are the other cases:

A70F - $159
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112243

B70 - $229
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112224

B71 - $299
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112225

None of these seem to have top fans and I can't find any covers (that I could find) for any of these 3 that would allow the 240 to sit. Would you just go with the 77F or would you try to make any of the above work to cut cost? I like the design of all the Lian Li's but it comes down to what will work. What do you think?

That's some great info AMW, thanks. I'm wondering if they just drill the holes in the top of the case or if it's all internal? If it is a hole through the top of the case I'm curious if they use a grill or cover filter.

That's why you should contact them. They will explain everything and give you more options.
