Review Lian Li Galahad II Performance Review: A New Level of Liquid Cooling Excellence

for price/performancce nothing beats Arctic Cooling products .. why not include them in the comparison?
The only AIOs included in this review are ones which are capable of keeping the i7-13700K under TJMax in Cinebench when power limits are removed.

Arctic's cooler, while capable, is not strong enough to pass this test.

I was surprised you tested with an i7 instead of an i9. I would think this cooler would be a great fit with an i9. I might have to buy one and try it out.
Unfortunately, the motherboard on my i9-13900K system died and it wasn't eligible for RMA due to the use of an LGA 1700 contact frame and at the time I didn't have the budget to replace it. I switched to the i7-13700K I already had available instead, at the time I didn't anticipate that there would be a liquid cooler this strong!

I'll be switching back to an i9 for cooling reviews when Raptor Lake Refresh launches. In the meantime my i9-13900K has gone into a SFF rig, where I've been busy testing *all* of Noctua's SFF cooler offerings for an upcoming review.

Arctic's cooler, while capable, is not strong enough to pass this test.

prove it !

Lian Li’s Galahad II Performance features unique fan connections that simplify cable management, full-performance and low-noise modes, and the strongest performance we’ve seen from any liquid cooler yet.

Increased airflow in the AIO pump? lol I sure hope not

i love arctic freezer ii's ive got both a 360mm and a 420mm .. but what make them the best is RAD size and their quiet fans then price ..
That said Lian Li are bringing a bigger rad than there previous models better fans but also quite attractive package looks wise which despite ( in my opinion and alot of others ) Arctic being the best they aint the prettiest !!

would love to see a VS between the 2 !!

prove it !

Anything less than DeepCool's LT720 cannot keep the i7 under TJMax in maximum intensity workloads

Otherwise I would have retested it

ohh graphs love these graph people who tend to take everything out of context ..
double check GN who did actual tests and while the arctic freezer ii lost to some degree the cooler wasnt screaming its arse off to do it by brute forcing the numbers ..
so check the graph that shows price and see who wins and check graph of the cooler VS dba !!
GN did a great review of most of the top coolers !!

Is the arctic cooler the best of the best probably not but what it lacks in looks it crushes in price , performance , quality and quietness !!

Even when noise normalized, it would still lose to the coolers shown in this latest review.

Arctic's Liquid Freezer is great, it's just not of the performance class that I'm comparing in this review.

I call BS on that considering the MSI MAG coreliquid in this test was beat by the arctic freezer 2 360mm AIO and you tested with the MSI over the Arctic freezer. For the same price or less you could even go with the arctic freezer 420mm AIO and it would probably match or beat all of these AIOs. Here is the original Arctic Freezer 2 review for easy comparisons.

Here are the takeaway screenshots:

MSI's P360 is their lowest end 360mm AIO and retails for $100, yes that cooler gets beaten by the Liquid Freezer but it isn't shown in this review for the same reason the Liquid Freezer isn't shown in this review - neither Arctic's Liquid Freezer nor MSI's P360, which you're referencing, are capable of keeping Intel's i7-13700K under TJmax in the most intensive workloads.

This review uses MSI's S360, their highest end AIO which retails for $250 and is one of the strongest coolers on the market. If Arctic's cooler were capable of keeping the i7-13700K under TJmax in the most intensive workloads, it would be shown here. It is not.

My eyesight seems to be failing me. Is it okay to blame my dyslexia? I could have sworn those were the exact same two MSI AIOs. Would still love to see the Arctic freezer 2 360mm or 420mm as a reference point. Thanks for the reviews and clarification! Time to bump my scaling up to 150% to see the letters better, DOHH!

Hahaha, it's all good

It doesn't look like we've reviewed their 420mm unit here at Tom's Hardware, I'll see if I can get it in for review once I switch to the i9-14900K for cooling testing 😎

surprised they only come in at 360mm or 240mm i would be more interested in a 280mm .. like the Asus rog ryujin 3 i would seriously think about it in a 280mm form !!

I like the look of the Galahad 2 just shame there is no 280mm version !!

Some of the cooling manufacturers have told me that there is a lot less demand for 280mm models, which is probably why many lineups don't have them :|
shame really with cpu's getting hotter and hotter and SFF getting more and more popular i would have thought there would have been a bigger market for the 280s than 240s !!

I personally wouldnt have a 240mm on my mind with ANY of the zen 4 cpus and apart from my first build of my current pc using the ceres 500 with a 420mm arctic freezer ii after i down sized to my jonsbo d31 lcd solid case ..i was stuck with the corsair hx1000w being a bit to long to ( actually psu and the powercolor 7900xtx red devil touch ) fit allowing me to use a 360mm in the top ( which a smaller psu no issues ) so i was kind of stuck using a 240mm or 280mm of which i used a 280mm !!

tried 2 Air coolers deep cool AK500 digital and a noctua NH-U12A which both cooled the 7800x3d well but the nzxt x63 RGB won in the end !!

Try a Phanteks Glacier one 360 w/ D30 fans next please. I been wanting to swap from my h150i and do full D30's but nobody has displayed any testing on their new AIO.

No wonder the cooling performance is that good, I skipped to the results initially and was confused until I saw those nigh delta fan specs. 7mm of static pressure is insane even for 3000 rpms fans

I love the cooler, lowers my average temps by at least 6ºC compared to the Cooler Master 360L I was using. The problem is the claim that is has full RAM clearance. I had to modify my Fractal Design Define 7 because it was hitting the RAM on my ASUS Crosshair VIII Dark Hero. The side panel no longer has clips to stay closed.

Unfortunately I don't have any Phanteks AIOs up for testing at this moment. The next AIOs I'll be testing are from Cooler Master, MSI, and Hyte.
