I got my antec 1200 for $160 deal on newegg. I'm sorry but will not pay $300 on a case and I don't care its handmade. Antec has a great quality and I love it

Ya, it is kind of foolish to consider $170 to be "economical" but by Lian-Li standards that is moving in the right direction.

I don't understand why any of you should spend more than $40 on a case..I buy my cases at the mall - they come with a 500-550 watt generic PSU that typically lasts 3-5 years and the case even has lights and good air flow, I pay $25-$35 anytime I need a new case for some reason. I'd never spend over $50 on a new case. That's just stupid. It's about what is inside the computer, your raw performance.

30-50 is alright for a case with no power supply. If you are gonna trust your important files, programs, and hardware to a $10 power supply, well good luck , because that is what you are running on. It is nice to have a decent case, that is quiet and has good airflow. Dont get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the 25-35 dollar cases if you dont need dependability.

But 100 and 170 being economical? for who? Lian-Li? I bet its helping their economy lol

I actually used my 50 dollar case/500W PSU for 3 years with no problem. So I agree with you. However, like three0duster pointed out, I was a littly fearfull of trusting my computer to a cheapo PSU, so I upgraded to a nicer one. It's funny though, because I then used the cheapo 500W to build my girl friend a computer

I don't spend tons on a case just find one that fits your needs and mod it to your specs.... I can do with out tool less feature I have about 20 screw drivers at hand....

From what I see in the photos, they look like Antec 300's/900. IMO Antec 300 or CM 690 would be better than those for practicality, even if I get a few cuts after building the computer

I remember when Kingwin mad high-end cases, completely tooless, tons of drives, 3 windows. They went to cheap cases and never came back. They sell generic PC accessories that are re-branded to "Kingwin".

The $60~100 Antec 300/900s are very good mid-range cases as well as the $120~150 P18x series.

$100 case is economic. I'm sure a lot of people who are looking for a good computer would size down on the case than their components. If they have the choice, even if the case is crappier, they rather spend less on the case and focus on the key parts. So if Lian-Li wants more business, maybe they'll have to scale down its construction to accomodate the meat of the market which is definitely the sub-$100 market.

Do you know how much heat an LED outputs? The amount is negligible.

Although I do heat all the frivolous lighting myself, I just think it's aesthetically tacky most of the time. I recently got an Antec 1200 myself, and I really wish I didn't remind me of the shoes with flashing lights that little children wear.

Not bad, but not economical at 170 if it doesn't come with a PSU. I find Lian-Li sub 100 case boring. Why I spent 200 on a Lian-Li case is that they look a lot cleaner/ modern then most case. And I have to look at my computer case everyday. It was my first build and I like the glass window to see the blue/purple neons I throw in there. Also the silver alumnium case has perforated hole in the alumium case for more ventilation. My room gets hot, but my computer never overheat. The Apple G5 case even copy this case, looks like twin.

Did you have a hard time trying to fit your 295GTX in that $40 case? And hows it running on your 500-550watt generic PSU?

Yah I love Lian Li cases but I have yet to become rich enough to buy them. They are high quality, subtley stylish, and have all the screwless stuff and the slid out motherboard trays etc.

That is like saying, get a cheap civic body and add acura engine and nitro-tank and let it over heat and hide it from everybody view sight.
