News Lian Li's new PC fans are completely wireless — cableless speed and RGB controls show promise, but the battery only lasts 30 minutes

This sounds like a great candidate for some betavoltaic cells. I don't have any idea how expensive they are, though - certainly would put the price up a lot.

Hopefully the quality control on these new fans will improve over the existing INF fans. I have 7 of the existing wired fans and the hub mirrors are often not mounted precisely enough, resulting in the mirrors appearing to jiggle. If I do buy more Lian Li fans they will definitely be without hub mirrors.

Doesn't sound very useful. It would only make sense if it used an over-the-air power system. I'd also be okay with a magnetic mounting system with power pins on the case, then you only need to plug one power cable into the case. Never need to screw in a fan and would be quick to replace.
