A lot of shareware versions with links to where you can get the full
versions.

No adware, cdware, commercial software, crippleware, demoware,
nagware, shareware, spyware, time-limited software, trialware, viruses
or warez please.

Great site and idea, just that it seems very hard to actually download the
games available...

Tried several including Alien V Predator and could just find some open
source code, not the actual game

For a lot of the games whose source code was released, the games' data
files were not released; for those games, only the demos are playable
for free. I think the point of this is to encourage people to port
them to other platforms. OTOH, there are quite a few games whose full
binary package was released. I haven't played many of the games listed
there, but among the ones I have, Beneath a Steel Sky in my fave. I
played it under ScummVM, <http://www.scummvm.org/>. (ScummVM is
freeware, but most of the games you can use it with are not.)
