Very few shields have + skills and those are very useful for chars that need
+ skills, well now everyone will want spirit shields ;o)
To calculate the dex needed for max (75%) block use this formula:
((Char level x 2) x 75/shield block) + 15 = Dex needed.
shield block is what it says on the shield on your particular char, as it
varies for the same shield on different chars (pallys allways best and
sorc/necr worst). Base blocking on a bone shield/grim shield is around 40%
IIRC. So at lvl 42 where you can equip it you?ll need 173 dex which is
pretty much. So that shield is good for the + skills and fcr on casters but
not if you also want max blocking for your char. Sorcs are better off with
the unique defender.

Btw allways correct upwards (don?t know the english term here) if you get a
result like 172.5 its 173 dex needed.
