Hii,can any one tell me what is the average life span of a gaming laptop.i have lenovo y520.spec-7th gen i5,16gb ram,gtx 1050 ti.can it go to 5 to 6 years if I run 3 to 4 hours daily with 1 to 2 hours of gaming.
The components themselves may last anywhere between 20 seconds and 20 years. How long it lasts as a viable gaming system depends on the games being played/written. Some people would say the 1050Ti doesn't qualify as a gaming platform and will be obsolete in with the next generation of gaming engines.

Not very easy to answer since electronic components can last 1 day or 10 years before they become defective.
I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Y470 from mid-2011 that still works, but the i5-2410m CPU runs pretty hot; 75c when idling and can hit 97c when playing games. The GT 550m hits about 65c when playing games; its performance somewhere in between a nVidia 910m and 920m. I ordered some thermal paste to fix the issue either this weekend or next weekend.
Also have a Dell Latitude 3540 from January 2014 with an i5-4200u and Radeon HD 8850m (roughly a little more powerful than the nVidia 940mx) which seems to be chugging aloing despite a strange problem with it where after a recent Windows 10 update every time I open Firefox the hard drive is always spinning at 100% according to Task Manager. So that is something I am currently investigating.
My Dell Inspiron 7559 purchased early last year with an i5-7300HQ and GTX 960m has developed a problem with the battery so I need to send it in for warranty service.
