Question Life span on H100i?

My system was built in late summer 2015 and now has been given lag, maybe due to overheating processor. It goes around 50-60 degrees in idle. Without dust.

If the thermal is stock I don't know because I just picked the part for the pc.

So does a H100i fail after 4-5 years?
CPU - i6700k stock 4.00 GHz.

Any recommendations on a new cooler?

Advice appreciated,
Thanks

while I have no personal experience, that sounds about right for a AIO cooler. They do have shorter life spans as they are not serviceable. You could attempt to remove the block from the CPU and reapply thermal paste to see if that helps.

There are plenty of good AIO coolers if that's what your going for. You could also buy the same model or get the H150i. Just buy what is in your budget.

I just RMA'ed my H100iV2 after about 3 years in my PC. It started being noisier than usual (which is saying something) and doing some serious clicking when under load. I noticed my liquid temps and CPU temps were also suffering. No dust, no trauma, just went bad, even after I swapped out the thermal paste.

I believe Corsair stuff has a 5 year warranty, although my cooler was just under 3 years. I would confirm that warranty period and file a ticket, you may prove your case and get a new AIO to replace.

They are supposed to replace mine with a PRO model instead, and I would have it already if UPS had not damaged the first one they tried to send me! Also, I suggest you request an Advanced RMA from the start, given you have a credit card handy to back the advance.

Good luck!
