MS lifecam vx-3000, sw v.3.2 for w7pro.This camera WORKS when directly plugged into a USB port built into the case (tower) & mobo. But it is NOT recognized when plugged into an external USB hub (tripplite 4 port). (Dev. mgr. sees there's an "imaging device" present). The hub ports work otherwise (mouse/flashdrive plugged into any of the 4 ports, all read/work). Do I need to re-installl the sw just so the hub will read/allow use of the camera (if it does)? Another fix? Tx.

Solution
Yes, the Lifecam software setup may be tied to a specific USB port, just as with a printer, so doesn't play ball if you plug it i to a different one.

Try uninstall/ reinstall with Lifecam plugged in to your preferred port during setup.

Thanks for reply, Mr. Corcoran. I did as you suggested. Made no diff. Odds are the camera will work in w10 when computer upgraded. And, I am not going to use Revo, nor going to CLI to chg a mistaken executable, nor buying another more compatible camera.
