Has anyone heard of Xidax gaming pcs (xidax.com)? I think they're fairly new but I'm thinking about buying their X-6 desktop because of the lifetime desktop parts warranty.

Does anyone know of any other system builders that offer a lifetime warranty on parts for their desktops? I was going to build my own but if the parts are warrantied for a lifetime then I'd rather buy from a builder almost.

I guess I'm a little worried after I bought a Cyberpower pc and it had multiple issues right out of the gate. It seems like the prices at Xidax are a little higher but might be worth it, I'm still debating. Has anyone purchased from them before? Like I said I know they're pretty new.

Price it out. Chances are you can custom build a better machine for less with warranties that will be more than sufficient.

The thing is, you are probably not going to have the same gaming PC for more than 3 or 4 years being that during that time you are more than likely going to upgrade the video card. You may even do other upgrades, thus making their warranty pointless.

MOST hardware will fail within the first 90 days. After that, probably the only thing you need to worry about is the hard drive and allowing your system to get too dirty inside which causes heat and static electricity.

Any good power supply will probably have a 5 year warranty. Good video cards can get up to 3 or 5 years warranty. System boards and CPU vary, but rarely go out and typically have at least a 1 year warranty. RAM is typically lifetime. The rest of the stuff is miscellaneous and really dont matter.

That's why I don't deal with pre builts anymore. The problem with these rigs is the under performing parts and the fact that the vendors load the OS down with so much garbage software to the point where your PC becomes almost unusuable. First thing I always do when I get a new PC like that is to wipe the hard drive and do a fresh installation of Windows.

Yeah I've seen some stupid BS marketing gimmicks before but that one definitely is way up there.

Quick follow up! I ended up buying from Xidax and was very impressed with the computer I purchased. The packaging was awesome, and they had everything ready to go out of the box.

Now here's the part I really liked: two days after I got my PC I got a call from Xidax. They wanted to know how my experience was and how they could improve, also if they I had any questions. I did have a question on my soundcard and they remotely logged into my PC and helped me over the phone. I was very impressed with the customer service and would definitely buy again.

Also they said if I ever wanted to get a totally new system they do take trade-ins from existing Xidax customers. Big fan. Just though I'd update ya'll!
