Light gaming rig for a tight budget?

Hello, I'm a college student on a tight budget looking to build my first computer for light to decent gaming. I'm trying not to get too far above $300. This is what I have found that I liked so far.

for your ssd I'd say probably a minimum of 60gb even for boot drive if you are running windows 7 you can find one like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820313451

Yes I have an HDTV I use as monitor, I have Windows 8.1 and everything else .

I sincerely don't want to spend $400+ even if I had the money, I'm not a hardcore gamer. I struggled a little with a lot of games like Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Prototype 2, Crysis 2,etc at medium to high settings on my old optiplex with a C2D, 2GB of ram and Radeon HD 6570. Believe me this rig won't make me unhappy. I also don't intend to play the latest releases.
