Light leakage on monitor's seal

Solution
Yeah, I would use a piece of electrical tape too and you are set. Sometimes I do such things instead of wasting $20+ for shipping out for RMAs you usually have to pay the shipping yourself and waiting a week or so.
You would think they would make a $250 monitor better these days!

From the image you posted, there is a small amount of plastic missing from the bezel of the display, and as you said, the light is leaking out. it is annoying, but not indicative of anything bad about to happen to the monitor.

I would try to color that area in with a permanent Sharpie marker, and if it is still coming through, the electrical tape should do the trick.

You would think Dell could be bothered to make sure all the plastic is there, but eh. I figured it would be better to fill it with electrical tape than waste the warranty on that.

Dust getting in is kinda a concern. But I guess that is what the electrical tape is for.
