I have a Shart LED TV 40inch lc40LE265M ..

everytime I turn off the Lights (fluorescent) ..
there is some kind of sound ("tok" something like that) that comes in my TV ..
we have a cable(Sky Cable Philippines) connected in the TV..

when I disconnect the cable.. and turn the lights off .. there is no disruption in the TV ..

What could it cause .. and any possible solution for this?
TIA ..

Depends on how the house is wired.

In a standard uk house you have an electrical ring main for all of the wall, plug sockets in the house.
And a completely separate ring main for the lighting and light switches.

I cannot speak for how houses are wired in the Philippines, but if both the wall , plug sockets and light switches run on a single ring mane it will be why you get interference from Florescent lighting tubes.

Because they use what we call a starter coil, and the way it works it gives off a high degree of electromagnetic interference that effects tv and radio signals in the Mhz band. And anything that also connected through the same ring main.

The only way to suppress it would be to connect a surge protector spike suppression enabled multi gang socket connect your tv and cable box to it and then plug the surge and spike protector into the wall socket.

yep .. In our house we have a bad electrical wiring 🙁 ..
lighting, electric fan, and TV are all connected in one line ..

hope that surge protector will work ..
any suggestion of what brand and model should I buy...
they say that belkin and huntkey are good surge protectors ..
