Lightscribe drive not recognised

I've updated my computer completely, running official Win8 64-bit and since then I've been unable to burn Lightscribe discs and need your help please. My DVD drive and system spec is below.

The problem is that Nero Cover Designer will not recognise my drive.
- I can read and burn blank CD's and DVD's so the SATA cable is connected.
- I have the LSS software installed (latest 1.18.27.10)
- I downloaded Nero Cover Designer version 12.0.10003 direct from http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads/index.php
- The LightScribe Diagnostic Utility shows 'no problems found' and detects the drive;

However, Nero Cover Designer does not show an available drive. Screenshot below.

Any ideas please??

Intel Core i7 3770 IVY Bridge, Quad Core (1155, 3.40GHZ, 8MB Cache)
AMD HD7970 3GB Graphics Card
16GB (4 x 4GB) Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz DDR3
Asus P8Z77-V LX2
Solid State Drive SATA III
HP DVD Writer 1070d (LightScribe).

Thanks for the reply. It's in AHCI mode, this seems to be an 'overall' SATA setting affecting all the drives listed in the BIOS.

Install "Lightscribe Template Labeler" & "Lightscribe Simple Labeler".
They probably have the same features as Nero Cover Designer.
