First, thanks for your suggestions in advance, appreciate it!

I'll be buying a monitor some time between now and december 7th for a project with the following specifications:

Size: 20-22 inches(no more than 22)

Weight: Under(or as close as possible to) 5 lbs. I've seen standard LG and Samsung monitors even bigger than this weigh under 5 lbs.

Primary use: Gaming, movies

Budget: $160 or less

The monitor must be wall mountable and as slim as possible.

I don't know if I need 1080p, I dont know a lot about monitors but I'd like to get the best for my money. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Solution
if you want to watch blueray movies you want 1080p (1920x1080) resolution. this is also the most common monitor resolution so it all works out for you.

on such a low budget you are most likely looking at a tn panel. often they have poor viewing angles (lots of color shifting) but they are cheap. if you can find a va panel in your price range you could eliminate this problem.

i would stay away from led in cheap models unless you do not mind a blue-purple hue as they do not use true white leds on budget models.

for the easiest wall mounting solution get one with a vesa mount bolt pattern. this makes picking out a wall mount bracket easy.
