Limbo???

I am intereseted in a lcd monitor that was one of pc worlds top 10 monitors the 17" LG flatron L1710sk. I read some reviews on cnet.com and confused. They rate it as fair. PC World rated it as #1 best buy. Another question is I found this monitor at a lesser price. At newegg.com but if I buy it from this site the manufactuer won't honor the warrenty. What should I do? Has anyone else used this monitor? Is it worth all the trouble?

Never seen the monitor or know anyone who has so I can't help with that. I don't understand why LG wouldn't honor the warrantee if you buy from newegg since it is one of the best most trusted and used on-line computer stores on the planet or at least in the USA. I would double check that data and decide. Bottom line is if you want that monitor and the price is right then go for it.
I just got my Hyundai L90D+ from newegg and it is GREAT!!! I've been playing FPS games and it has no ghosting. It is bright and the contrast is great too. for 379.00 USDollars, no tax and free shipping (bought on the 26th got it on 28th) you can't beat that with a stick.
Just my opinion.
