I have a asus laptop with windows 7 with a wifi issue. I am connecting to an unsecured wireless network in a dormitory. This is provided for all residents. The router and internet connection work for other people and my other devices. The laptop will connect for hours and then suddenly go to limited access. It seems random when it will connect and for how long.
This issue has been going on for about two weeks now during which time I have tried several fixes, including: netsh reset from cmd, windows diagnostics, disable and enable of adapter, uninstall device and reboot (windows had no driver), and restoring to a previous point (in case it was a windows update). Any help is appreciated, and please ask for any further usable information.
