Hi Guys!
I get only 10 Mbps on a TP-Link TL-WR740N router, but on Direct or with my Old Router TP-Link Tl-R402M i get 20 Mbps (i'm not in a zone with good internet connection)
What's the problem with my router? Can the problem be repaired? Or i need to change my router?
(Sorry for my bad english, i'm Romanian)

Reset your router. See if that helps. Hole the reset hole in the back for about 30 seconds.

Do a speed test before you make any changes.

This will take out the security settings so make sure to setup the security again.

I reseted it and the problem persists

I tested using Wifi on tablet and on 2 PC's and still 10 Mbps on every device (tested with speedtest)

Have you tried with wired connectivity?

You mean with the wire from the ISP? yes , and it's 20 Mbps, and my old router send 20 Mbps too, the problem is with my actual router

It looks like you are comparing 'hard wired' devices to wireless devices. Is this incorrect?

TP-LINK TL-R402M 4-Port Cable/DSL Router 1 x 10/100Mbps WAN Ports 4 x 10/100Mbps LAN Ports:

It is possible, that the WAN port on the router (blue) is not correctly setting to 100Mbit when connecting to the modem. This article will show how to determine which hardware version you have. This links to the latest firmware for your device. Make sure you are running the latest firmware.

You could also go into the "Wireless Settings" and if all your devices are new, change the wireless "Mode" to "11n only" For best wireless efficiency you want to be sure your wireless security is set to WPA/WPA2 -- Personal

No, wired connectivity to the new router -- Connected to one of the yellow port on the WR740N .

It's the latest firmware, when i buyed the router , everything was OK.. i think.. 😀
