Limited space but want better temps on CPU

I have a case with only space for 4 fans(3 intake in the front and 1 exhaust in the back). Would sacrificing the intake fans and putting a rad in make sense? Can I take one out and replace it with a 120mm radiator to cool the cpu? What would be the best configuration to get better cpu temp

Hi Martejoseph.

I have a case that is a fairly tight fit, and I have found that in those kinds of cases where you are pressed for space a Closed Loop AIO Liquid Cooler can be a great solution.

The Case I used this in only has two fan mount points, an intake and an outtake both are 120mm in size and really didn't deliver sufficient airflow to cool a traditional CPU block. A Liquid cooler transfers heat away from the CPU to a radiator and when you pop a fan on it it becomes incredibly efficient. What I needed was a small enough radiator to deal with the problem. Now you have three intake fans but one outtake. I'd suggest this 120mm cooler if you can find it...

I use this one myself, replace the outtake fan with this dual fan liquid cooler and I think you'll probably end up with a better result overall. This cooler has fittings that support most common CPU's and sockets however be sure to check that whatever cooler you do choose is properly specced for your CPU socket. In my case I use it to cool an Intel i7 5960X.

I know it would. I want to put in a liquid cooler but want to know what would be a possible configuration that would allow for liquid cooling, without sacrificing the temp of the rest of the system
