Limiting the RAM usage of a game?

Is there a way for me to limit the RAM usage of a game? I cannot afford YET to buy a DDR4 stick for my laptop.

If it requires more than 4, then you'll have to wait.

You can always try with all settings on low. and see if that helps.

I was monitoring the GPU clock speeds and dedicated GPU memory...the clock is at max (overclocked it +135mhz) and the dedicated memory usage was about 1455 MB (2048 MB GPU)

The RAM however...well... playing Fallout4 made my notebook go haywire... RAM usage was about 3.2-3.5 GB and the game force closes
