Line in on computer when turned off?

This may be rediculous but i am wondering if this is possible. I have some desktop speakers plugged into my computer but i am also wondering if i can enable the line in to function when the computer is turned off. That way my TV can also use the Speakers at the same time.

Is this possible or will i have to buy a mixer or do a different method to achieve this.

You can't do that with the PC powered off but you can if it's powered on.

I was aware of doing it with the computer on but was wondering if there was anyway to make it a passthrough when the computer is not powered on. Im guessing a mixer is the only way to achieve this?

It's a PC, with I suspect, the built in sound manager which controls your ports by software (that's why they are configurable) rather than a hardware setup like you find in an amplifier.
