I just noticed a line of colored pixels on my desktop background that isn't showing up when I open windows over it. I realize that it isn't a problem with my monitor, and I was wondering if anyone knew what the cause may be. Here's a screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/SzFpsiA.png

There is also a thick line of light blue pixels that shows up on white backgrounds sometimes. Could it be a problem with my GPU?

I had a bluescreen on start up a few days ago directly after a windows update (it still booted up) which resulted in my USB wireless adapter not working. I think it was a problem with USB, but that problem was fixed after a restart. I'll upload the minidump file if anyone wants to see it.

The pixels I noticed reverted to normal after flipping my screen via the screen resolution utility, and then flipping it back.

Using an Intel i5 3570k, GTX 670, and an ASRock Z77 Extreme 4.

EDIT: Okay, now I tried restarting again and got a BSOD. It ran a diskcheck after booting up, and then windows explorer started crashing indefinitely. I hit the reset button on my computer and everything is working right now. I installed an 'important' windows update, which is when the problem started happening.
