Linking Two Computers to Make One!

I have an old Acer tower computer and a newer laptop, could I combine the two? Even if is just adds more CPU or ram that would be great!

It dosent work like that, and you cant mix desktop and laptop hardware (other than a laptop HDD in a desktop, but thats about it)
It can be used in streaming, play on once PC and stream the video capture on the other, but thats it.
